Poseidon Resorts
We thought the Ice Hotel was a strange place to bed down for the night but we clearly hadn't seen anything yet. The Poseidon resort will be a luxury destination on the ocean floor. The plan is to have a five-star hotel underwater in the Bahamas. The rooms will have transparent walls that look out onto coral gardens. The hotel will be linked to land via access tunnels and you won't need a a wetsuit to get to your underwater hotel room. Each room will feature transparent acrylic walls, a Jacuzzi tub with a view of the ocean floor, underwater lights and an external feeder for the fish outside. It is estimated that a standard 550-foot room will cost $1,500 per night. Will this get built? If it does would you want to stay there? I'm far too claustrophic to sleep underwater but dinner under the sea could be fun.

Similar hotel is already planned in Dubai, U.A.E.

Even though the website suggests that it will definately open, like with almost all the projects in Dubai this is not settled yet. The most prestigious project realized so far, the Burj al Arab, is not generating the expected profits. In the end project delevopers are just trying to gain saudi arab investors attention by producing lots of hot air about extraordinary projects.
