Peeking Inside Starck's Downtown

Apartment Therapy has a great slide show of the new Downtown by Philippe Starck building. We've been curious about this Manhattan project since October and it was recently opened to the viewing public. Apartment Therapy's on-the-scene spy reports that the whole scene is a bit surreal. White everything, gimmicky design and a sense of real estate urgency prevailed. With one bedrooms starting at over $1 million, the building offers instant elitist cred for aspiring design snobs.
