Too Much Good French Wine
A surplus of fine French wines and tougher global competition are combining to force French
winemakers into dumping millions of gallons of high quality vino,

Associated Press story. The vintners, it seems, are seeking permission from government officials to boil down 267
million bottles of the good stuff into industrial grade alcohol so they can recoup some of their financial
losses.
