Metaphysical Treatments at Spas

CNN looks at the trend of having a tarot card reading or other metaphysical treatment while at a spa. Spas are constantly trying to find new ways to attract customers and many spas have turned to ayurvedic medicine, polarity therapy and other alternative healing methods. An upcoming event at Cal-a-Vie Spa includes a consultation with a handwriting analyst. Some spas such as the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California shown here have a shaman on staff who will do soul retrievals and flower essence therapies among other modalities. Tending to the spiritual becomes an extension of the spa experience, consider it metaphysical multitasking.
