Trump National Los Angeles
Say what you like about Donald Trump, he does have an eye for beauty. The LA Times reports on Trump's progress at turning the the former Ocean Trails golf club into Trump National Los Angeles. The course is on the Palos Verdes peninsula and boasts stunning ocean views. Trump has referred to it as Southern California's Pebble Beach. The course, which suffered a mudslide in 1999, was bought by Trump and redesigned. The course will open in June and on Friday Trump broke ground on the housing development planned for the site. The plan is for 48 custom estates to be built. The course is not private and the fees will be $195 per person Monday through Thursday and $300 on the weekend (including cart). Trump courses generally feature an over-the-top design with waterfalls, lakes and elaborately-constructed bunkers, ideal for a beautiful walk spoiled by a small white ball.
