La Cornue Grand Palais
La Cornue stoves are so over-the-top gorgeous that it seems like it would be sacrilege to dirty them with the act of
cooking. The Grand Palais is sized like a commerical range, but made a touch more user-friendly for the home chef. It
has two ovens, one gas and one electric, and a customizable stovetop. What the La Cornue has over other high end
ranges such as Viking, Wolf and Jenn-Air is that it can be ordered 20 colors and 12 finishes and that it comes with two
personalized nameplates. Makes sense if you are sick of stainless steel everything. Their website has an
interactive feature that lets you play around with designing your custom stove. In the United States they are
available through
Joanne
Hudson for around $35,000.
