The Westin Monache
Starwood Hotels and Intrawest Corporation have announced plans for a 230-unit condominium-hotel in Mammoth Lakes, California. Mammoth offers some of the best skiing in California but has thus far, not been a luxury destination. The Monache is part of a project known as The Village at Mammoth a community full of upscale restaurants and shops. Amenities will include 24 hour room service, ski valet, a pool and hot tubs. The hotel is situated near the 15 passenger mountain gondola and offers full mountain views. Condominiums will also be for sale in The Monache which isn't scheduled to open until spring 2007.
