A.P.O. Jeans
The web is currently abuzz about A.P.O. Jeans, a new brand of custom-made jeans that run upwards of $1,000 a pair. The jeans are made of $40-per-yard denim and the buttons and rivets are made from precious metals. The optional diamond-studded main button shown here brings up the price to over $4,000. The jeans are made to the customer's measurements and come with a certificate of authenticity. Calvin Stewart, the designer, says he wants to be the Maybach of the jeans industry. The jeans aren't particularly memorable like the so-hot-for-one-season shredded Gucci feather jeans that sold for over $3,000 back in 1998 but they do offer subtle bling. Dry clean only, I'm assuming, no washing your diamonds in the machine.
