Urwerk UR-103
Urwerk's latest watch, the UR-103 attracts attention through its unique design. The case is futuristic and made from a solid block of gold. The top and sides of the watch can be engraved. The style takes a little getting used to but the watch is easy to read and the design means that you don't have to turn your wrist to check the time. The crown at the top of the watch can be wound to a 42-hour reserve. While the watch is beautiful some of its design elements seem to have sacrificed utility at the altar of coolness. For example, the second hand dial, power reserve and and a 15-minute revolution dial are on the underside of the watch and cannot be seen when the watch is being worn.
