Players Run
The name Players Run had me instantly curious. I imagined some sort of Cannonball Run type event but the Players Run is not a race. It is instead a moving party for those who want to show off their exotic cars and log some serious road time. The 2005 Players Run takes place from June 3-8 and starts in Seattle, Washington. Players Run has happened twice before and the June 2004 event took 75 teams on a tour from Manhattan to Los Angeles. The five day event has approximately 5 hours of driving time per day, allowing plenty of time for after hours fun. Players Run sets up stays at luxury hotels and VIP events such as parties on yachts and races on racetracks. The entry fee is $12,800 for one vehicle with two drivers. Players Run says that they will also allow a limited number of helicopters and planes to participate in the event.

Brock Yates is still out there, now it's the "One Lap of America." Less partying, more driving.
