By the 3O's they were already on the brink of divorce..sort of shows you how much present day Hollywood real estate agents care and/or know about the past doesn't it ?
By the way : if there ever was a location for a museum of american silent movies ..here it is! now if only those greedy sellers would have even the slightest care for history(of which the know nothing)and not for their already fat checkbooks!!

Dirk De Bruyne

Comments on Pickfair

My great grandfather Lee Phillips built this house for his wife Catherine Coffin Phillips. Pia and first hubby bought it for $7 million in 1988. $27 million?? Sure why not? Shows you how not very far a LOT of money goes in LALA land these days.I like the museum idea except all that remains of the original Pickfair home is the front gate, maybe they could donate the whole thing to a foundation as an offset against Pia's movie earnings. Sounds good to me. Oops sorry, she hasn't had first billing since 1988s "Voyage of the Rock Aliens" But two Razzies in a row ('82 and '83) for worst actress must be worth something, doancha think??

Jim O'Rourke

Comments on Pickfair

Wow, I was there with my father Ken Young back in the 1987 or so. The place sure looks different now. Has Pickfairs original design been changed ?
