"Denim and Diamonds" Cellphone

denimanddiamonds In the same vein as the ridiculous Kimora Lee Simmons pink Baby Phat phone is this "Denim and Diamonds" phone which comes from a partnership between fashion design house Escada and Siemens. This SL65 phone is being released for the holidays and is decorated with Swarovski crystals and a pearl and metallic finish featuring faux stitching to mimic jeans. It also comes with its own string of pearls and arrives in a limited edition Escada box. While I'm all for designer editions of phones if they are well done, this one with its ridiculous swinging cubic zirconia logo seems a rather half-hearted attempt to merge fashion and technology. It looks more like a craft project gone wrong than anything that would display the fashion sense of its user. The pearls it wears would also prevent it from fitting neatly into any sort of cellphone case or pocket.
